Big Brother Naija winner and entrepreneur, Mercy Eke, has joined the list of other showbiz stars on ambassadorial deal with a fashion store, Payporte.
The deal which was officially signed at the high octane restaurant, Craft Gourmet by Lou Baker, Victoria Island, Lagos, on July 7, had in attendance Mercy Eke, the CEO and founder of Payporte, Eyo Bassey, and friends of the new brand ambassador.
Eyo noted that Payporte had studied Mercy Eke as a brand for over one year and believes, “she’s also grown as a brand. It’s very noteworthy to enlist her as our ambassador. Mercy is very energetic and passionate about what she does. You’d understand why easily she’s become a role model to a lot of young people. We’re proud to be associated with her.”
PayPorte’s expectation of Mercy Eke is to continue to be a role model to young ladies aspiring to become great and while carrying herself and the brand with confidence and class looking super fashionable in outfits sourced from PayPorte.
Payporte endorsement deals typically run for one year, but are reviewed every six months to decide renewal or termination after it lapses.
Mery Eke admitted she’d been paid upfront some undisclosed multi-million Naira for the deal. She’d be having collaboration and photoshoot with those who’ve been signed to the brand before her some of whom are; Chef Chi, Tolanibaj, Nengi and others.
Excited about joining others in the PayPorte family, the Imo-born damsel said, “I like to bring value to brands and the brands that I’ve worked with can attest to this. So, I believe PayPorte must have seen that to have approached me and I’m very pleased to join the family. We’re paid millions of Naira to carry these brands to the next level and I’ve noticed some brands just want to gain from controversy, I don’t pitch with those kinds of brands and I am happy PayPorte has a sustained reputation to be a super clean brand.”
Mercy Eke had also seized the opportunity to rest the speculation about some bad blood between her and Nengi when the latter was in the Lockdown House during the last Big Brother Naija show.
On how she hopes to work together with Nengi, Eke allays fear of many who think they still have an axe to grind. Her words read in part; “Nengi and I are very cool and we’ve even spoken about some collaboration. We will be having a shoot together soon.”
